OAuth 2.0 is an industry standard protocol that allows users to share data with applications while keeping their credentials private. It's used by many major tech companies, social media platforms, and finance applications.
When connecting a Google Workspace account to HotHawk, you'll notice there is no requirement to copy a 'Client ID' and ask the workspace admin user to approve our application. This is because we have been through a rigorous approval process by a third party cyber security company that Google told us to work with - they reviewed our whole system, security setup and most importantly, the scopes we wanted access to for our users data and what we were using this for.
Following this process we were granted our 'CASA Tier 2' security certifications and upon receiving these, were approved by Google as a Verified partner. This means they are happy with what we are doing and do not see it as a threat or potential spam machine.
Not only that, it means our users can simply connect Google accounts at the click of a button making adding Google workspace accounts 10x faster on HotHawk than any other tool in the cold email market.
